ILA(I Love AkwaIbom) Initiative a Non-Governmental Organization, yesterday,May 26, 2017, made her second public appearance at Uyo High School,Uyo to mark and celebrate the Children's Day with gift items, writing materials and dictionaries to aid in learning and teaching processes. This exercise was led by the C.E.O of ILa DannyP Esuh, with the team mates including Moses Umoh, Eugene Udofia, Morien, Ik Obanor, Yungbella, delivering the message of love,peace and unity as the foundation to building the New Akwa Ibom. He further added that Children's day is not just a day to celebrate children for who they are, but to bring awareness to children around the globe that have experienced violence in forms of abuse, exploitation and discrimination. Children are used as labourers in some places, living in the streets, suffering by differences be it religion, minority issues or disabilities.
The ILA team was warmly received by the Principal of the School in the person of Elder Michael Iwok, who expressed gratitude to ILA initiative team for thinking up this laudable gesture and prayed God to bless the ILA team, Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria at large.
